While we provide a wide range of dental services right here in our office, there are occasions when a referral to a specialist can help ensure you receive the most advanced and focused care for your specific needs. 

This may include complex root canal treatment (the specialist is an Endodontist), wisdom tooth removal (the specialist is an Oral Surgeon), dental implants (the specialist is a Periodontist or Oral Surgeon), orthodontic care (the specialist is an Orthodontist), treatment of gum disease (the specialist is a Periodontist), complex restorations of the mouth involving crowns/bridges/implants (the specialist is an Prosthodontist),  jaw-related concerns (the specialist is an Oral Surgeon or Oral Medicine Specialist), abnormalities in your gums or the soft tissues of your mouth (the specialist is an Oral Medicine Specialist) or specialized care for children (the specialist is an Paediatric Dentist). 

In order to get in touch with a specialist, we usually insist upon having an examination done prior, to assess which specialist would best treat your symptoms and goals, or if you can be treated here at the office instead.

A referral doesn’t mean something is wrong, it simply means we’re partnering with trusted specialists to give you the highest level of care possible. We’ll guide you through every step of the process, communicate closely with the specialist, and continue to be your dental home throughout your treatment journey.
